Associate Pastor
Rev. Jerome K. Williams was born and raised in Bunkie, Louisiana. He is the son of Reverend Willie D. and Marjorie A. Williams. Jerome and his family have lived in Orlando, FL for 27 years. He is 52 years old and married to his high school sweetheart Sonja R. Prescott for more than 32 years. Their family consists of their son Jerren (30), daughter-n-law Lakisha, daughter Carrie (19), six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Rev. Williams was educated in the Avoyelles Parish Public School System and graduated from Bunkie High School with honors. He attended Louisiana State University, Rollins College and University of Phoenix and has a B. S. Degree in Business Administration. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana.
For the past 16 years Jerome has been employed by Crothall Healthcare, a contract management company contracted by Florida Hospital in Orlando. He currently holds the position of Regional Manager at Florida Hospitals in the Orlando and Tampa Divisions.
Rev. Williams was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church for over 22 years. Ordained as a Deacon in 1994, he accepted the call to preach the Gospel in October of 1999. He preached his Trial Sermon on May 7, 2000 under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Walter R. Prince Jr. On October 24, 2004, he was ordained as Reverend Jerome K. Williams.
Rev. Williams was privileged to serve Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Orlando, FL for 10 ½ years as an Associate Pastor. Over the years he has been blessed to have worked with several ministries at Mount Pleasant which include Usher Ministry, Male Chorus, Mass Choir, Men’s Ministry, Security Ministry, Youth Sunday School, Adult Sunday School, Deacon Ministry, Adult Bible Study, Mission and Education and Youth Ministry. He began serving the Taft Missionary Baptist Church in September 2010 as teacher and preacher. In November of 2010, he was called to be the Senior Pastor of the Taft Missionary Baptist Church. His tenure as Senior Pastor of Taft Missionary Baptist Church ended February 11, 2013.
While serving as Senior Pastor of Taft Missionary Baptist Church, two ministers were licensed, one minister and deacon were ordained, church attendance increased from 5 to average of 35, began Youth Ministry, Music Ministry/Choir, Vacation Bible School, Church Website/Facebook, Church Program/Bulletin, Usher Ministry, and Culinary Ministry. Tithing, offerings and stewardship was promoted which increased the yearly income of the church phenomenally.
Currently, Rev. Williams and his family are members at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church of Taft, Florida where he serves as Associate Pastor. He also serves as District Missionary for the New Central Florida Baptist Association.
Rev. Williams is a humble and faithful man and believes that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose and encourages ALL to live a victorious life by nurturing their relationship with God through Jesus Christ, worshiping God in spirit and truth, and allowing others to see Jesus Christ in them. He enjoys singing, cooking, traveling and spending time with his family.
